About Us

I was introduced to Genealogy many years ago by my mother. My wife and I were visiting the UK, and I was tasked with researching some distant relatives. There is something special about the satisfaction of finding that little piece of information that has long eluded you. The false leads and dead ends are soon forgotten.

I have continued that initial enthusiasm and interest, and have compiled this website in the hope that it will inspire and encourage others to take up researching their own Family Tree. It can be enjoyed as a pastime, hobby or just because you have an interest or desire to know more about your distant family.

There are no ‘Secrets’ about Genealogy.  There are resources, with a strong online and offline community to help you compile your Family History. Resources for one person may not be relevant for another, it is about information and how to find the appropriate resources.  I strongly believe that my site is a valuable part of that community to help in your quest.
